but yeah, i suppose i have been missing out on some stuff, but i don't think "popularity" has ever determined whether a book was great or not. for example, although i think harry potter is extremely cute and a fun read, i doubt that it really should rank as literature in the sense that literature changes and evalutes your perception of the world. so, *raspberries* to BBC.
