So I went and joined that "Rings-Thing" because of the coolness of the questions. So of course, the first one I get is:

Now that you've had the DVD for a while, what did you think of it? Did what you saw on the DVD in any way change or alter your perceptions of the film? Did it hold up for you on the small screen: How many times have you watched it? Did you do anything special to commemorate its release?

Um. Okay. Here we go. I DON'T have the DVD. I haven't seen any of the special features yet (Lydia! Help me!). I can only afford to get ONE of the DVDs, so I'm holding out for the November one. Although it's driving me mad.

However, I've seen The Movie on a hotel TV, so I can say that it holds up VERY well on a small screen. Especially if you sit, say, two inches away from said screen. Although I didn't like the fullscreen version -- it kept cutting out Merry and Pippin!

To commemorate the DVD release, I sulked. And cursed. And bitched about my lack of DVD to anyone who would listen. And went to my local video store to find that all rentable copies were already out.

Lydia. Friday. DVDness. Good? Good.
