Oct. 19th, 2002 10:32 pmJust went to see Tuck Everlasting, because I was in love with that book when I was a kid. Surprisingly enough, it was a decent film. I mean, they did Disneyify it somewhat, but that's to be expected. Otherwise, it was relatively true to the book, and wonder of wonders, they didn't fuck up the ending. They altered it slightly, of course, to play up the whole look-this-is-a-romance-really aspect, but it worked. And throughout the movie, they would randomly zoom in on the frog, so those of us who know the REAL ending wouldn't feel too horribly cheated by his absence at the end. Heh. Frog. I love that frog.
Benefit of being in a movie theater fillled with kids: I wasn't the only one squealing at the Harry Potter preview. Heh.
Other than that, I have accomplished exactly nothing today. Which would feel really nice, except that I have a lot of random shit that I SHOULD be accomplishing. Like, my AP Hell essay rewrite. ::glares at essay draft:: Okay, it was 2 AM when I wrote that draft, and I KNEW I'd have some reworking to do, and yes Tina and Kat's comments on it are helpful, but I REALLY don't ever want to look at that thing again. Meh. And once that's done, there's the Physics lab, and twelve billion pages of AP Hell reading/notes, and finishing up the lesson plan for my twelve-year-olds, and oh yeah college application. Gah.
Working on weekends should be forbidden.
