May. 18th, 2004 04:53 pmHappy [slightly belated] birthday,
reishin! And happy [slightly early] birthday,
girloftheq! Hope they're both merry and gaysexful!
And now, book meme, gacked from
lotrjunkie:
1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph:
The night before he went to London, Richard Mayhew was not enjoying himself. He believed that the One had perished; that the Elves had destroyed it, as should have been done. "Basement," he told the operator. Because the atmosphere was so thin and because there was no moon, nightfall was very rapid and it was by now very dark. He looked a long time.
The books:
1) Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
2) Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
3) Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy
4) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
5) Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Heh. That paragraph...almost makes sense. Cool.
