remix authors revealed!

Oh! No wonder I hadn't a clue who my remixer was. pippinspeach, you are fantastic, and now I need to read your fics! I feel very, very silly that I'm not familiar with your work. *blushes* That will change now, I assure you!

I was responsible for Kaleidoscope, remixing the exceptionally fantabulous msilverstar. I originally wanted to do homage to her sekrit pseudo-OTP, but her fic "What With All This" was too irresistably open-ended. In previous years, my remixes have just taken the original fic and changed the POV, but this year I wanted to really be able to explore a story of my own, and her fic was the perfect jumping-off point -- it outlined the shape of a fic so neatly, and left so much room for the underlying story.

And no one matched me up with my fic! Psh. I guess I really haven't been involved in fandom lately.
