rewrites, you say?

Dude, revising a fic is hard. I mean, I'm used to doing small-scale editing, or constant rewriting as I work a fic out, but more in-depth revision boggles me. How much do I change? Do I just add/cut stuff, or rewrite full scenes? How do I make significant changes without losing the flow?
