stupid essay.

You'd think I'd have learned by now that I am, in fact, physically incapable of writing essays more than 24 hours before they're due. I mean, I can get all the research done and my notes organized in advance, but actually WRITE the damn thing? Surely you jest.

What's worse is that instead of, say, acknowledging defeat and going to bed now so as to be well rested enough to pull off the inevitable all-nighter tomorrow, I'm just playing a succession of mindless computer games in the hopes that inspiration will strike and I will manage to write perhaps a sentence of essay before I sleep.

It's all rather tragic, really.

Oh, man. I totally pwnz0red that last paragraph. I have the proper academic jargon down to an ART FORM, my friends. Maybe this essay won't be so bad after all.

And I really love the fact that this entire essay is essentially going to be thinly veiled squee along the lines of OMG IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GAY. Except, you know. Restrained and academic-like.

I totally just wrote half the essay in under three hours. And that time includes at least an hour of mucking about the internet and playing computer games. If I keep up this pace, I may actually get a reasonable amount of sleep tonight.

Granted, that was the easier half, because of the two plays I'm analyzing, that's the one that most neatly fits my thesis. So the other half probably won't proceed quite so easily. But still. *pumps fist*

Right, time for a dinner break.
