oh, torchwood.

I'd just like to take a moment to express my absurdly large amount of love for one Ianto Jones, and my continuing dismay at his criminal lack of significant screen time in much of season 1. Although that was somewhat abated by his sheer AWESOMENESS in the last four minutes of "They Keep Killing Suzie", and my fic sources give me some hope the trend continues as the series progresses. (Despite the fact that the Torchwood team should probably be dead about twelve times over from sheer stupid by now. Writers! You give us clever characters with marvelous banter, and then you make them make the dumbest mistakes in the history of ever. Come on, now.)

Mostly, I just want to get to season 2 already, dammit. But I must have my continuity, and that means finishing season 1 in proper order, AND heading back over to Doctor Who to get through their season 3, before I get to indulge in the full canon Jack/Ianto experience that I know awaits me.

Fortunately there is much fanfic to get me through these trying times.

Well, looks like it's time to switch back over to Doctor Who. About time I met Martha properly, anyway.

Fun side effect of being spoiled for basically everything ever in Who/Torchwood: instead of thinking "ooh, look, 1940s dance hall," I'm all "OMFG VOTE SAXON." These shows really are top-notch at the foreshadowing game, seriously -- see Who season 1, re: Bad Wolf and, well, Torchwood.

Also! Bonus points to "End of Days" for both X-Files and House references. Hee!
