Damn, the Oscars were boring this year. At least they were short. And I liked Chris Rock's opening monologue, but there wasn't enough of him and he wasn't nearly offensive enough.

So glad I didn't watch. My only reason would have been Chris Rock, and I had a feeling he wouldn't be able to do his usual thing in this venue. Plus, no LOTR, so what's the point? :-)

Rock's opening monologue was great, but after that...he snuck in some good one-liners, but yeah, definitely restrained.

And LotR was sorely missed. ;)
