mandatory GoF post.

So I went to Cork yesterday, and wasn't there for very long compared to the round-trip NINE HOURS of bus. Oy. But there I met up with
ldmoonflower and her friend and we saw GoF.
MR. CEDRIC FAR TOO HOT TO DIE! Gah. He was so very pretty, and then he died. Well, not that I didn't see it coming, because, y'know, book, but yeah. I wept bitterly.
Sirius was not really in the movie. This distresses me. However, Neville has reached new heights of awesomeness ("OMG I KILLED HARRY POTTER WTF SHIT!"), which was cool. And I am amused by the way Ginny seems to be randomly following the Trio around everywhere, to establish herself as a future love interest.
I felt bad for Krum and Fleur, who had maybe three lines of dialogue between them. And while everything was pretty good, the movie jumped so quickly from point to point that I felt quite badly for anyone in the audience who hadn't read the book. I mean, I've read the thing twice, but not for a couple of years, and I definitely had a few "wtf is going on?" moments. Like Krum in the maze. It took me a long time to realize, oh right, he's been Imperius-ed. 'Twas confusing.
Also? The Death Eater costumes don't make them look at all like Klansmen or anything. Nope. Not at all. Well, whatever, they were still creepy as fuck.
And the twins rock so very, very hard. But, um, shouldn't the movies start setting up the whole joke shop thing soon? Or is that just going to be cut in the end?
Next movie now please. Need Marauders. (Or will they do the Marauders? I mean, the movieverse never established the real-life identities of MWPP. On the other hand, Harry knows to call Peter 'Wormtail', which was odd, since the 3rd movie only ever established him as Peter Pettigrew. Oh, lack of movieverse continuity!)
