I love that you showed the transition of Helo's feelings from Boomer to Athena, from crush to love, from person to thing back to person again. She's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen – and then thing shifts softly and almost imperceptibly into person in his mind, and he knows he'll never be able to shift it back. This line. Just. Perfect. Helo/Athena is a large part of why I stick with BSG, and you really filled in the cracks in their story with awesomeness.
