Great Midwestern Car Ride, Day 10 (?)

Current location: very very VERY close to home.
ARGH. I haven't had any internet access since Monday night. I've been in St. Paul, Minnesota; middle-of-nowhere, Michigan; and Niagara Falls, Canada. And every possible highway in between. Why having no internet for six days is a bad thing: being on four mailing lists, and having 218 unread messages. ::gulps:: I'm afraid. Very afraid. Even knowing that I'll delete more than half of them just because the thread or pairing doesn't interest me...shit. That's a LOT of unread messages. ::cowers::
Fell asleep on the beach (at Lake Michigan) on Friday. Am now thoroughly sunburnt. Ow. Legs don't bend too well, shoes are torturous, back/shoulders are a bit painful, and thank god I was wearing a one-piece bathing suit or my stomach would be red, too.
I made a few half-hearted attempts at the Fic From Hell (TM), but it ain't done yet. Something about spending hours on end in the car kinda saps creativity. ("Hmmm, maybe Dom should go on a nice, long car ride...no, wait, that has nothing to do with the plot!")
Must go attack the 218 unread messages now. Wish me luck.

When I was working at that day camp I had to keep fighting off these terrible evil plotbunnies--you know, "What if Dom and Elijah had to babysit a kid? Or a bunch of kids? Wouldn't that be cute?" And then the normal, sane part of my brain would go NO NO NOOOOO AAAAAAARRRGGGHHH thud.
