DOCTOR WHO.

OH THAT EPISODE WAS SO PERFECT.
I can't believe I've said that about two whole episodes this season, but there you have it.
The Doctor/Amy/Vincent vibes were so intense they hurt, holy shit. Vincent! My god, what a magnificent character they made of him. I love the way the episode handled his depression -- and how the Doctor made a point of differentiating it from madness. And, oh, my god, the scenes in the gallery -- the one with Vincent, and then the one with just the Doctor and Amy -- made me tear up kind of a lot. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.
And the references to Rory, of course, WAH. I'm definitely confident now that the Rory issue will be addressed directly, probably in the series finale (of course). I was a little nervous that they'd just go blithely on, having forgotten him, but no, that was the perfect way to handle the first post-Rory episode. The Doctor trying so hard to find ways of making Amy happy even though she doesn't remember, Vincent seeing the sadness she carries without knowing why, the whole monologue about how life is full of bright things and bad things, and the good don't outweigh the bad but the bad don't overshadow the good, and love and loss and GAH, I'm going to cry again. So gorgeous.
On another note, LOVE the meta-ness of the monster that no one can see. Actors having to act against CGI! Heh.
Next week: TIMMS HI TIMMS OMG! (Um, okay, so that means nothing if you don't know the play/film "The History Boys", but whatever.)
