I took the What Mythological Creature Are you? test by
peacefulchaos !
Interesting. Very interesting. Especially since I kept saying that I wanted to look remotely humanoid and liked being with others of my kind. Wyvern. Well, hell, at least I can fly. ;)
And while we're at it...
Shamelessly stolen from
1. Who is your favourite character(s)?
Merry and Pippin, hands down.
2. What is your favourite LOTR quote?:
This still cracks me up: "You rascals, you woolly-footed and wool-pated truants! A fine hunt you have led us! Two hundred leagues, through fen and forest, battle and death, to rescue you! And here we find you feasting and idling -- and smoking! Smoking! Where did you come by the weed, you villains? Hammer and tongs!" Courtesy of Gimli son of Gloin.
3. How long have you been waiting for a live action LOTR movie?:
Erm... ::blushes:: I wasn't particularly interested in one beforehand, actually. My cousins dragged me to it. For which I am eternally grateful.
4. When did you first read LOTR and how many times since then?:
I read it for the first time when I was about ten. I think I was too young for it. I thought it was long, slow, and dull -- but I did stick with it 'til the end, so I must've liked it somewhat. I read it over again after seeing the movie, and once again a few months later. Of course, there are some scenes I just keep going back to...
5. Whom do you think was cast exactly the way you imagined?:
I didn't really imagine beforehand. But Sean Astin looks like a proper hobbit the way I'd envisioned them. And John Rhys-Davies made a proper dwarf. (Of course, I adore just about everybody now, and I like the other hobbits much better than the fat, waddling little creatures I sometimes pictured.)
6. When will you see The Two Towers?
Definitely a midnight showing. Hopefully the first one. With
7. How many times do you plan on seeing it?
As many times as I can afford. (This is assuming I like it as much as FotR...which is more than likely.)
8. Who is your favourite villian?
Gollum. Is. The. BEST. We loves Gollum, don't we, precious?
9. Which character are you most like?
Erm...probably Merry. Sarcastic. Gets into trouble. But not a complete fool of a Took (I hope!).
10. Mirkwood, Lothlorien, Rivendell, The Shire, Mordor, Gondor
or the Misty Mountains. Where would you most like to live?
Shire. Definitely. All those strapping young hobbit lads... wait, hold on, they already have each other. Blast. Actually, the Misty Mountains would be kind of cool...
11. Mirkwood, Lothlorien, Rivendell, The Shire, Mordor, Gondor,
or the Misty Mountains. Where would you least like to live?
Mordor is a bit on the dead side.
12. Favorite Hobbit?
Again, Merry or Pippin. Well...Merry.
13. Favorite Elf?
Legolas... yeah, I'm boring. He's got better lines in the book.
14. Favorite Dwarf?
Gimli. Geesh. I don't really remember the other dwarves. I haven't reread The Hobbit in ages.
15. Favourite Human?
Theoden is a cool old guy. I want him to be my grandfather.
16. Favourite Wizard?
Gandalf. Boring again. But Saruman is a creepy bastard, and Radagast is Brown. And Simple. Of course, there's always Manfred the Slightly Ecru. ;)
17. Favourite Orc?
Ugluk. Well, he's an Uruk-hai, but close enough. I actually LIKE Ugluk.
18. Part in the books that made you cry?
Merry: "Are you going to bury me?" Waaah. And the Choices of Master Samwise, and Cirith Ungol, and the Havens...the usual bits. Also, I secretly mourn for Gollum.
19. Part in the movie that made you cry?
I start screaming inside when Merry and Pippin get carried off by orcs at the end. I also grip the handrests very, very tightly. And once I watch it at home, I'll probably punch pillows. There are other parts that make me want to scream, too. But I don't really cry at movies unless they're REALLY sad.
20. If you had lots of money, a good life, family, friend and
were happy would you give it all up to live in Middle Earth?
No. Middle Earth is a great place in my mind, but I wouldn't actually want to live there. It's a place for visiting late at night, or during particularly tedious moments at work/school.
21. If you were given a one night stand with ONE character who would you go with?
Aw, geez... probably Merry.
22. Was the movie what you hoped?
I had no hopes. I expected it to be about the level of Star Trek movies to a non-Trekkie. So of course, it completely blew me away! Fucking amazing, mates.
23. What do you think they should have changed?
Liv Tyler was miscast. The crumbling Moria stairway was useless, except for Gimli's lines. Everything else was pretty damn close to perfect.
24. Who is your favorite actor(s) out of the Fellowship?
Oooh... Elijah Wood, I guess. Followed closely by Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd. Followed closely by Sean Bean and Sean Astin. Followed closely by everyone else.
25. After seeing the movie, which weapon would you most like to learn?
Archery! I wanna shoot paper plates out of the air!
6. (if your a girl) which LOTR woman would you want to be?
Eowyn. Although I think I'd handle the stupid thing for Aragorn a bit better.
27. (if your a guy, girls can answer this as well) Which LOTR
man(actual ly male) character would you want to be?
Merry!
28. Thing you are most looking forward to in TTT?
Wounded!Merry and Pippin. Treebeard. The ring's increasing pull on Frodo. And above all, GOLLUM.
28. How did you get into LOTR?
Read The Hobbit when I was ten, loved it. Didn't like LotR so much. Then my cousins dragged me to the movie. A few days later, I realized I had an overpowering urge to see it again. Did so (alone). BAM. Hooked. Impossibly hooked. And
29. How did you hear of the LOTR books, or wh o gave them to you?
We always had The Hobbit on the bookshelf, I just decided to pick it up one day. LotR followed.
30. Has LOTR (books/movie) changed or helped your life in anyway?
Yeah. It's called OBSESSION.
