Does Charles ever define a code of ethics beyond 'Let's try not to kill people'? Because he doesn't really seem to have one... This is a fair and valid point. I have no idea how he's managed to con everyone into thinking he holds some sort of moral high ground for all these years.
I agree on Stewart's presence kind of drowning out Charles as a PERSON. Which is why I liked found his character in XMFC so much more appealing. Flaws! Stupid mistakes! Horrible chat-up lines! UGH I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
I knew I'd always liked Mystique in X2, if only for her flipping off the soldiers at Alkali Lake, but I hadn't realized just how integral she was in pushing the plot forward -- much more so than any of the other characters. It's kind of amazing.
