Y'know what? Fuck AP Hell. I could stay up all night finishing this essay, or I could get some sleep to face a long rehearsal tomorrow afternoon. It's not even a question, really. Senioritis isn't actually laziness -- it's actually a readjustment of priorities. I'd rather feel well-rested and prepared for the day and maybe lose a point or two on an essay than get those lousy two points but feel like crap.

Besides, just reread Buffett's Surfing series, and I have that nice warm feeling in the pit of my stomach that comes from reading good fic. Ah, Surfing. My first RPS fic ever, and still one of the best Domlijahs out there. The fic that drew me into the fandom, what? Fourteen months ago? There's something to be said for that...

Ahh, normally I would do just that. If only this weren't 20% of my semester grade...

But I do agree with this: Senioritis isn't actually laziness -- it's actually a readjustment of priorities. That's exactly how I feel. I don't need to have the best grades anymore. I don't need to be the smartest. Who cares? I'm getting the same diploma as the rest of them, anyway.

Exactly. Completely... uh... it! Yes! Thanks so much for that. I really have to think when I start getting stressed out, I mean... it really doesn't matter all that much? I suppose I wouldn't want to fail but it's not like getting a B once or twice is going to kill me. I think serioritis is the bane of teacher's existence. Heh. You rock.

I do feel bad for my teacher, though. Only ONE kid in the entire class handed in their essay on time...
