...and that's all I'm willing to say on the subject.

Weird flashbacks: in McDonald's, the radio was playing that song 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia. It was pretty popular a few years ago. There was a time when I knew all the words to that song. I only remember part of the chorus now, but it's still a cool song. She was one of the only pop singers of the '90s that I could stand. After that, some other oddly familiar song came on. I have no idea what the title is or who performed it. It's vaguely Country-ish, and the chorus includes the line "Cat's in the cradle." Hmmm. Must ponder.

There was a gorgeous sunset this evening. People probably don't associate New York with pretty sunsets, but every now and then we get some beautiful ones. You know, when the clouds ripple across the sky just right, and everything's this brilliant red-orange-pink. You look downtown and it's like the sky is on fire.

Maybe the Towers would have looked great, illuminated by that sunset.

Or maybe they would've just gotten in the way.

'Cat's in the Cradle' by Harry Chapin, later covered by Ugly Kid Joe? "Cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, little boy blue and the man in the moon..." Makes me cry, that one. Gah.
