Anthony Hopkins and Gwyneth Paltrow and *lust* Jake Gyllenhall *lust* are filming the movie version of Proof on our campus. Saw the play when it was on Broadway, loved it. And, um, this means that Jake Gyllenhall is SOMEWHERE ON MY CAMPUS. *resists urge to stalk*

I fucking love that play. Brilliant. Amazing. Did a scene from it last year. But how could they make it without Mary-Louise Parker, dude? agh.

Date: 2003-10-06 09:46 pm (UTC)I actually saw Jennifer Jason Leigh play the part on Broadway, and she was pretty darn good, too. And apparently Anne Heche got really good reviews for it as well. I would've hoped one of them three would get the role in the film, but I guess they wanted Oscar clout. (Hey, it's a movie about MATH, they've got to pull the masses in somehow.)

Date: 2003-10-07 03:55 pm (UTC)It would be nice to be good at and enjoy something that the rest of the world and common sense doesn't label you as a freak for. Just for a bit of a change in life.
Ok, rant over. Sorry about that.
