Last night, when I was on my way to the UT party, I stopped by the lounge to see if anything interesting was going on.

They were watching Season 1 of Sports Night.

I used to adore that show, so I stayed for just one episode. The Dan-Casey "anniversary" ep, with the ancient Greek theater ghost and such. Good times.

This is the first time I've watched Sports Night since I got my slash goggles. The Dan/Casey is so glaringly obvious and beautiful. Wow. I never noticed that before. BRING ME SPORTS NIGHT SLASH, STAT!

It's an awesome, awsesome TV show that lasted for all of two seasons before it got cancelled back in, um, '99 or '00. It got all these rave reviews, but not many people actually watched it. It was this hilarious sitcom (by the same writers of the West Wing, if you know that one) that centered around this sports news show, and all the crazy people involved and the behind-the-scenes drama and such. Fast-paced, intelligent, really funny. Dan and Casey are the anchors of the sports show.

Sorry, it had to be said. I love Sports Night, and I never really would have thought of it from that angle, but, ya know, you have a point.

Can we have Dana/Natalie, just to be equal opportunity, though?

It's just. It was the anniversary episode. Y'know, with Dan pissed off because Casey forgot their First Broadcast Together anniversary, and Casey reveals that he turned down his own show just so he could keep working with Dan. Slashiest ep ever.

And, hey, I'm all for femslash. Go forth and write lesbian porn! Or something. Yeah.
