Roomie and I just saw Love Actually. SEE IT. We were basically the only people in the theater (10:30 pm, Monday night, who'd a-thunk it?), so we felt free to squee as loudly as we wanted. Colin Firth! Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman, the sexiest middle-aged couple ever! The dubious theoretical Keira/hot husband/hot husband's hot best friend threesome! THE LITTLE BOY!

Seriously. Much with the cute and the awwwwwwww, and this from the girl who usually hates sappy movies. It's just that awesome.

All I gotta say is Colin Firth speaking Portugese. That, and I've listened to "Christmas is All Around" and "Jump (for My Love)" way too much in the past few weeks.

If this movie doesn't get a best original screenplay nomination, I'll eat crow. Or decry the idiocy of the Academy, again.

It was a very good movie. I thought Keira Knightley was adorable and Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson were just wonderful.
