I couldn't come up with a proper thesis, so I just wrote down whatever came into my head. And got this.

So, like, the poor sinners, so heavily punished for sins of the flesh that are unjustly stuck in the violence zone because homosexuality and the acts therein are violence against god and shit, and they were totally cool dudes aboveground. So Dante talks to them, and he's all like, "Yo, y'alls is da shizznit," and they're like, "Yeah, seriously," and he's like, "OMG pity!" and even Virgil is all, "Dude, now there's some serious R-E-S-P-E-C-T shit goin' down." So what the shit is up with that? Angst! Tension! Drama! The thing is, occasionally the good guys screw up and wind up in hell, and it really sucks for them, but come on now, a mortal sin is a mortal sin and ya gotta respect that shit or you wind up seriously fucked up. And you can sympathize with these guys, you can answer their questions and bitch about your problems with them, but you can't forgive them, because they did stupid shit and now they have to pay up. Word. Peace out.

Think I could just submit this as my essay and be done with it?
