I'm not sure if you phrased that comment quite the way you meant it to be read, Kosi. If I didn't know it was you, I would be taking a lot of offense right now. As is, I'm assuming you made it sarcastic, but not in the strongly anti-homosexual way it comes out.
it wasn't so much a comment against homosexuality as it was a comment against your reaction to the website, as though any piece of information that seemed to go against what's pc is inherently sickening and unbelievable. whether they're right or wrong, and provided their stats and figures are correct (which, btw, i haven't checked and don't plan to, but i'm sure it wouldn't be so difficult to do if you really wanted to make a case of it) i don't see what's wrong with this site.

A website based on traditional values is one thing. Once it talks about homosexuals terrorizing the community and homosexuality = death and how homosexuals use Hitler's propaganda campaign, yes, I am a little more than offended. Yes, there exist gay people who are also evil, child molesters, etc. But if a few bad eggs are representative of an entire community, then you might as well say that all Germans are like Hitler and all straight men are child molesters and...
once again, i'd check their facts. like, in one of their articles they said one third of molestation cases are caused by 3% of the population or something like that. i'm not saying necessarily to believe it (or to disbelieve it) but provided their facts are accurate, they make a good point. and, it's quite possible that they are using hitler's tactics. it's not completely unbelievable. as for homosexuality=death... well frankly, i still think sex=death so i can't comment on that.
I've been reading their articles. They're making me feel physically ill. I especially love the list of "deviant sexual acts" homosexuals commit -- all of which many heterosexuals do as well (anal and oral sex, purely gay acts, yup, sure...). Or the Hitler's method thing, true or not, this site provides information following the exact same guidelines they condemn gay people for using. And homosexuality is a mental problem. I'll be sure to suggest that to Robert the next time he has a crush on a guy, and Marya the next time she has a crush on a girl. All gay people should stop falling in love, dammit, and if they do for god's sake don't TELL anyone about their perverted inclinations, and stop trying to take over America by living normal, happy lives!
The thing that frightens me most is how subtle homophobia has become (because, y'know, we evil liberals have been destroying free speech by objecting to strong anti-gay statements, how DARE we not sit back and allow ourselves to be condemned). There was a time when African-Americans were considered mentally inferior to whites, incapable of handling any political power or civil rights. There was a time when women couldn't speak in public or vote. So what would the world be like now if no one protested against racism or sexism? Maybe the problem is that homosexuality isn't something you can just SEE on a person, like skin color or gender. It's based upon physical attraction (something no one can yet explain or understand) to members of your own gender. Men falling in love or lust with other men, women with women. Maybe love is a mental disorder. I think the best course of action is for everyone to live alone and ignore sexual urges entirely, and marry someone proscribed by the rest of the community, and never try to find happiness or acceptance. Well, come on, let's get working on that!
