Holy shit. I've suddenly become productive. Instead of finishing my first official Merry/Pippin fic, that dratted LOTRimprov group created a bunny that bit my arse and demanded I write a Merry-and-Sam-conversation ficlet. So I guess this will count as my first non-RPS LotR fic instead of the M/P angstfest. Just as well, I s'pose. Now I just need to find a FPS beta...

Wow, two (or sorta three, if you count the near-dead Frankafic) fics in beta at once. Eesh. I'll never manage THIS again.

Whee! Tolkien Day!

Ah, good times, good times. In honor of Frodo & Bilbo's birthday, lush_rimbaud came over to rent LotR-actor-related movies. Or rather, movie. Meditations on The War: hahahaha. Probably wasn't s'posed to be this funny, and I heard it actually got good reviews, but... um... my heart is duly warmed. Oh boy, sap and unnecessary angst! And predictability! But 12yearold!Lij is actually very, very good. He actually made us want to care. And! "Surfing"-moment! Mwah-hah-hah-hah...

Then got baked goodies in place of cupcakes, and watched FotR Highlights (by which we mean hobbitslash bits, which is most of the movie) on my new!flatscreen!computer. And sang happy birthday. Ooooh! And I never noticed this before: at the end of FotR, when Frodo & Sam are looking out over Emyn Muil, you can see the Dead Marshes in the distance! Oh so much coolness.

Finally, attended my first shardsofnarsil group chat. Heh. Good stuff, that. Except that I was trying to takes notes on Slaughterhouse-Five at the same time, which was...interesting.

What I've eaten today: 2 bowls cereal, 1 cookie, 1 banana. Hmmm...

Gotta go finish up my Vonnegut quota of the night now...
