thank goodness for three-day weekends

...because I haven't done ANY of the shit I'm supposed to to for class yet. And this is the first chance I've had to get back onto my LJ since Friday night.

Have missed two more shardsofnarsil group chats. Fuck. I'm a horrible RPG-er.

Saw Igby Goes Down yesterday. That definitely makes it onto my top twenty movies of all time list. It's "Catcher in the Rye" done right. And bloody hilarious, at that. Hey, the Culkin kid can act! Plus, it had the TTT trailer attached to it. Heh heh heh.

Parties are fun. Watching Robbie Jr. get drunk off his ass is also fun, at least when he's at the dancing-and-singing stage of drunkenness (the emotional stage sucks, though). Getting drunk myself is slightly less fun, mainly because I just get dizzy, but otherwise act exactly the same as usual. I'm just normally a crazy fuck. Also, this may be the first time I've ever played a game of Truth or Dare that involved interesting truths and dares. And lasted for about five hours. And eventually degenerated into read-alouds of a Marquis de Sade book. Heh. It was like a bad PWP, except funnier. Crashed there; didn't feel like cabbing it home at 3:30 AM.

Dragged myself home at around 9:30 AM, slept for longer than I had time to. Saw Ash Wednesday with Lydia and Tash, whee! Not the greatest movie, but Edward Burns is decent and Elijah Wood is adorable. Especially that little van-jumping thing at the end. Don't even mind the fact that he's supposed to be *married* to Rosario Dawson; he was too fucking pettable. And looks too young to be a father, but so it goes. Oh, and you can kinda tell that he filmed this right after LotR wrapped. Some of his scenes are very Frodo-ish. Some. Not all. After much squeeing, finally stopped babbling about the UnadulteratedJoyExpression and set about finally making those Pervy Hobbit Fancier T-shirts. I love my shirt. I've got too damn many quotes, but that's okay. Can't wear it until TTT premiere. lush_rimbaud, this means you.
