a little theory

Just, quick, because I've been thinking about the Seanlijah kiss all day. Well, it's been vaguely percolating way in the back of my mind all day, anyway. As I see it, two possibilities:

1. They are in love and getting it on. Or not getting it on. But, in love. Right.

2. They are extremely close -- closerthanthis-type friends.

I'm leaning towards possibility #2. Not because they aren't my OTP. Frankly, I don't care who's shagging who in RL, so long as they're happy doing it. If Sean and Lij are doing the nasty, well, all power to them. But at the moment, I don't believe it. Ponder it for a second. Those two have ALWAYS been the most unashamedly physically demonstrative, until the Domlijah took the spotlight recently. Last year, they were all over each other. And no one batted an eye, because it was Frodo and Sam. Life mirroring art, and so on. Are they close? HELL yes. I would imagine there was some blurring of reality and fiction during filming, and they've both certainly mentioned (in interviews) that they assumed the roles of Frodo and Sam in real life. Which, hey, could mean that they ARE soinlove, and I'm fine with that.

But Sean is married, with two young children. If he were having an affair with Elijah, no matter how serious that affair was, he would NOT be kissing the man in public, in front of TV cameras. Unless he's a heartless bastard, I just can't imagine him putting his family through shit like that. You don't broadcast infidelity. Just. No.

Heck, I don't know 'em, I don't know what they get up to, for all I know they're banging like bunnies. I like squeeing over those Seanlijah kiss pictures. I just don't believe it's real. Go ahead and try to convince me, I'm willing to hear the other side of this...
