I hate hate HATE deleting old icons to make way for the new. It's an agonizing process. And I always feel guilty once I decide which icons must go. But, sadly, there was a distinct lack of sillyness in my icon selection, and all those serious ones were misrepresenting my personality.

...so I delete my rather silly default. D'oh. There must be a method to the madness, but I just don't see it...

oh, man...

This thread is on crack. Also, it took me over an hour to read through it, and I'm only reading the parodies of authors I know. Still, good stuff: If LotR was written by [insert random author here]

Should really start that AP Hell paper...

Yup, it's official. I've reverted back to last year. I cannot be allowed out of the house with any sort of money in my pockets.

The supermarket? One lousy block away from my apartment. About halfway down said block, I came to the brilliant observation that I had about $20 in my wallet, and in less than ten minutes I could walk to the nearest movie theater and see TTT. It actually took me five solid minutes of internal struggle before I decided against it, and then only because I didn't want to take a bagful of groceries to the movie with me.

Someone is gonna have to lock me in my apartment, at least until February. Seriously. The first month is always the worst. I can't afford to spend every dollar I have on TTT. Really I can't.

...on another note, I've decided that FotR was the better movie. Which won't stop me from seeing TTT about twelve billion times, but still. I just don't think that TTT would have captured my attention the way FotR did. My cousins dragged me to FotR. I had no interest in the doings of hobbits and wizards and elves. I'd read the books, but remembered them as being slow and boring. And yet, a few days after watching FotR for the first time, I shelled over $10 to see it again, alone. And two days later, I dragged one of my own friends to go see it with me, again. So it goes. I would never have done this for TTT, not without my previously established obsession. The lure of the ring is strong, but for me, it's mainly left over from movie #1. And, yeah, this post had a point, which now is lost. Ah, well.

I've noticed three main issues people have had with TTT. They're interesting, because I wasn't offended by any of them. my random blather on the subject, which includes much spoiler-ness )
