OH MY HEART

Netflix gave me the first disc of season 6 of West Wing today. I meant to watch one, maybe two episodes, and then go to sleep.

...it's a good thing they only give me one disc at a time, or I would not have gone to bed tonight. OH MY GOODNESS, WEST WING, YOU ARE BACK!

Yeah. I was stuck in flail for those last two episodes. So, it DOES apparently recover after season 5, after all.

Every year, November comes around with a large baseball bat to my head, and I can't even think about participating in NaNo. Which is a source of great frustration, as I'd really love to -- if only it weren't frakking November.

This year is likewise crazy, but...maybe less so. I'm not going to do a proper NaNo, but I'll try to do something writerly. Maybe aim for 500 words/day of some sort of fiction. Specifically, I've got the Firefly/BSG Wash-as-final-Cylon fic of great plottiness which has been percolating for several months, and which I'd like to write before BSG returns in 2009. And I've badly neglected my original YA fantasy novel thing, elementmages. Posting two fics in the past week (!!!) has reminded me how much I like being an active participant in fandom, so it would be nice to continue.

So. Yes. Not NaNo, but something like. I need the push.
