this is your brain on fandom
May. 9th, 2009 12:34 amOh look, I can has a New York. *collapses*
It should be noted that I want to see the Star Trek movie quite badly right now, despite never having watched TOS and having mostly been bored by TNG and DS9 when my college boyfriend tried very, very hard to convert me. Pretty much the only thing I have ever liked about Star Trek has been Data, who I'm fairly certain is not in this movie. And yet I really, really want to see it. Mostly because my f-list just exploded with glee, and because I feel like I'd have to turn in my geek membership if I DON'T see it. And it's got Simon Pegg and John Cho in it. So, that. Maybe this weekend.
Also, it should be noted that I need to watch Merlin.
fiercynn showed me the first episode and graciously allowed me to download the rest off her thumb drive, and it is waiting. The episode I saw was utterly ridiculous and campy and slashy, and I hear I can expect more of the same from the rest. This is not why I want to watch Merlin. I primarily want to finish watching this show because I think it would make a ROCKING vid to Mark Knopfler's song "What It Is", and I need to see the full canon to make the vid. Which, yes, I realize this is a rather backwards way of going about it. What the hell, brain.
And Netflix has delivered unto me the first disc of Life, for extra Damian Lewis goodness now that I've watched Band of Brothers approximately twelve times in the past three months. So, y'know, that.
At least I got another scene of the Big Bang written on the bus to NYC tonight.
