I have a not-so-secret soft spot for good YA fantasy. By which I mean I LOVE IT LOTS AND LOTS. A few weeks ago, I finally picked up the first book in the "Hunger Games" trilogy, because everyone and their mother has recced it and I've been meaning to give it a try for ages. But I was in the middle of another book, so I didn't get around to cracking "Hunger Games" open until today.
I read the first chapter during rehearsal break.
Then I came home after rehearsal and finished the damn book in like three hours flat.
...so I guess maybe I need to purchase the other two in the trilogy tomorrow or something. Damn. I haven't blown through a book that fast since probably HP7. Granted, it's YA, so a much quicker read than my usual, but still. WOW. Good stuff, that.
