So, this. I suppose it's yet another vid about Joss Whedon's broken dolls attempting to reclaim their feminist narratives.

Yeah.

Basically, while watching Buffy for the first time ever, I started to notice some...really, really obvious parallels. That everyone else was already well aware of, but hey, I'm new here. And I thought I might want to do a vid about all these "chosen" women, and how deeply fucked up that made them, but how hard they worked to reclaim their own identities and kick ass on their own terms. And I've done a couple of vids to Tom McRae songs, and his music had the right sort of tone for the vid I wanted to do. So I'd just downloaded several of his albums that I'd never previously heard, and I glanced through the song titles, and this one just JUMPED out at me. So I listened to it. And, wow, yes.
