For the record, I was supposed to be done vidding CATWS now. I had Firm Beliefs that there were no more Marvel vids that needed to happen in my life for the moment, at least until the DVD comes out and I can make them properly. (For example, I have a very different Steve vid started and shelved until then, because fuck cam footage, seriously.)

So Saturday was the first rehearsal for the latest show I'm stage managing, which is partly a dance theater piece, and they spent the day choreographing the first piece of music, which meant I got to listen to it approximately twenty or thirty times in the space of three hours. Like you do. And when I'm listening to the same damn song that much, my mind tends to mentally vid it, because that's just how my brain works. (I have roughly three hundred theoretical vids in my head at any given time, 99% of which I'll never actually make because the ideas aren't strong enough to bother with.)

Yeah, well. Then I went home and vidded the first 2/3 of the damn song in one sitting, and at that point, you may as well concede defeat.

This is not the sort of song I generally vid. Or at least, I don't think it is. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe all of my vids are basically the same at this point, except with different characters in them. I dunno. Anyway, look, I made a thing. It's about Natasha. My feelings about Natasha aren't as immediately gut-wrenching as my feelings about Bucky (and, by proxy, Steve), but damn, she's a compelling character.

navel-gazing writing blather, feel free to skip.

I will say, the nice thing about having three active WIPs is that I can kind of bounce between them depending on my mood and write little bits and bobs here and there and still feel like I'm making some kind of progress. Which is nice, because the Steve fic is at about 7000 words right now and probably not even halfway done yet, and that's freaking me out a bit, so it helps to focus on the other ones instead.
