Am I done vidding Winter Soldier yet? No. No, I don't think so.

I've wanted to make a Sam vid from the beginning, but couldn't find the right song for it. Then last week I briefly revisited the Inception fandom (to help finish off Queen's Gambit), and while rewatching a couple of old Inception vids, I remembered that tricksterquinn had told me about wanting an Arthur vid to this one song, and it occurred to me that while yes, this would still make a most excellent Inception vid should she ever revisit her old idea, it would ALSO work exceedingly well for Sam Wilson.

Also, this wound up very Sam/Steve shippy. Which I am totally okay with. :D

For the record, I was supposed to be done vidding CATWS now. I had Firm Beliefs that there were no more Marvel vids that needed to happen in my life for the moment, at least until the DVD comes out and I can make them properly. (For example, I have a very different Steve vid started and shelved until then, because fuck cam footage, seriously.)

So Saturday was the first rehearsal for the latest show I'm stage managing, which is partly a dance theater piece, and they spent the day choreographing the first piece of music, which meant I got to listen to it approximately twenty or thirty times in the space of three hours. Like you do. And when I'm listening to the same damn song that much, my mind tends to mentally vid it, because that's just how my brain works. (I have roughly three hundred theoretical vids in my head at any given time, 99% of which I'll never actually make because the ideas aren't strong enough to bother with.)

Yeah, well. Then I went home and vidded the first 2/3 of the damn song in one sitting, and at that point, you may as well concede defeat.

This is not the sort of song I generally vid. Or at least, I don't think it is. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe all of my vids are basically the same at this point, except with different characters in them. I dunno. Anyway, look, I made a thing. It's about Natasha. My feelings about Natasha aren't as immediately gut-wrenching as my feelings about Bucky (and, by proxy, Steve), but damn, she's a compelling character.

So I posted a Bucky fic yesterday, because Bucky Barnes has taken over my life lately. But this vid bunny came first, even if I couldn't start it due to lack of source. Then I unexpectedly found decent cam footage.

I will almost definitely remaster this once CA:TWS comes out on DVD. And I do feel weird vidding with, y'know, cam source. But I'd rather make the vid now with what I've got while I'm still in this stage of new fandom obsession, and fix it with proper source later, than wait until better source video exists when I may no longer have the motivation to make the vid.

This song IS WinterSoldier!Bucky for me, obviously, since I wound up stealing the lyrics for the fic title as well.

In between driving actors to the airport and packing up all my shit and moving out of Colorado, I somehow made one of those crazy 48-hour turnaround vids. O_O I'm uploading this from my aunt's house in Denver, and now I shall begin yet another long cross-country drive, to New York. At some point after that I'll finish the other Avengers vid I started in the past couple of days (which is all about the ladies, to counteract the massive amounts of testosterone and manpain produced by THIS vidbunny).
