That sentence meme: If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else.
Sirius/Remus fic of doom, a.k.a. Five Things That Never Happened to Sirius Black:
He looks out at his cousins' proud, possessive faces and wants to scream out that no, it's all a mistake, the Hat was considering Gryffindor but he'd had a momentary doubt that he's taking back, please let me try again.
untitled Peter Pettigrew fic, oddly enough:

a probably abandoned Orlijah, Premiere:
"Shh, it's getting to the good part. I think you just fell out of a helicopter or sommat."
ye olde anarchist!AU of doom, also probably abandoned, His Own Salvation:
He had a crooked grin that implied he was in on a great joke, and he'd love to share it with you but he was afraid you were just a bit too dim to catch on properly.
Woot.
