For those of you who might not have heard, Kia (punkmeanscuddle) passed away last night. One of her friends posted about it in a locked post a few hours ago.

I can't say I was all that close to her, but she was one of my first friends on LJ three years ago, and now I wish I'd gotten the chance to know her better. She will be sorely missed.

I just. There are no words.

Thank you so much for explaining -- I hope you don't feel like I'm questioning your honesty or motives, because that was never the case. I was just, as you say, reluctant to believe. But what Kia's mother did makes sense, and I can imagine my husband doing something similar in an effort to get word out to my friends if something happened to me. Thank you for helping to get the word out.

No, as I said I can totally understand being reluctant to just accept something like that, especially when it's something that even her current close friends weren't sure of. It's strange how things play out sometimes.
