I must say, I approve of Irish winters so far. It just doesn't get cold here the way it does in Chicago or even New York. Sure, the sun doesn't come out much, but the chill in the air is pleasant rather than bone-numbing and miserable. And it's postively balmy right now -- don't need much more than a sweater. I'm a fan.

You happened to pick a good year. It's been unbelievably mild this winter. It's very, very unusual for there to be temperatures in the double figures during january here, and yet they were as high as 15 or 16 degrees during the week!

Yeah, well, back home, it's very, very unusual for the temperature to go above freezing during the winter, so I'm quite happy with this.
