Ten signs you're reading a kaydeefic:
1. Pretty boys snarking at each other in a foreplayish manner.
2. Pretentious literary allusions, quite possibly involving quotes to head off each section of the fic.
3. Overuse of the word 'really' or the phrase 'a bit ___'/'a tad ___'
4. Ends with a paragraph/line that blatantly attempts to tug emo heartstrings.
5. Flashbacks. Many, many flashbacks. Quite possibly more flashbacking than here-and-now, actually.
6. Never just one continuous block of story. Multiple 'scenes', separated by *s.
7. Everyone Loves Remus (or Dom, depending on fandom). Always. He can Do No Wrong, even when he does.
8. Characters other than The Pairing Of The Fic have significant speaking roles. Even Peter.
9. Blatant symbolism, or perhaps a recurring theme, which is easily identified in the title.
10. Discreet fadeout just before the actual sex.
All right, now it's your turn. Come on. Have a go at me and my ficcish quirks. I can take it. ;)
