Upon reflection, it occurs to me that in the past TEN YEARS, the only time the Academy actually gave the Best Picture award to the film I actually thought was the best picture was, well, ROTK. (And yes, I'm STILL pissed off about Gladiator beating out both Traffic AND Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. And let's not even go into the Forrest Gump year.) So. And while Crash hasn't been playing anywhere in Dublin, Brokeback Mountain has been doing very good business here for several months now. In fact, I think I shall see it again this afternoon. So neener! :P

Gladiator could be the most boring movie ever. I'm a Ridley Scott fan but I have no idea what he thought he was doing with that movie. So bored.
