I have decided that the most annoying thing in the world is my new little bottle of Tropicana orange juice. Because I have a sore throat, and would like to drink my orange juice, but I have been struggling with the cap for ten minutes now and my hand hurts like hell but the damn thing will. not. open. OJ, OJ, everywhere, and not a drop to drink!

Stupid orange juice. *continues struggle with cap*

Try with a damp cloth, usually it's enough to get a decent grip on those damn caps.

...nope. Still won't open. I had to stop trying for a while because it hurt too much to flex my fingers. Dear christ, I've had problems with this particular brand of cap before, but never THIS much. It's been over an hour since I bought the damn thing!

In those cases my last resort is to cut a hole in it; just stab the damn thing! With an extra little hole to let in air, or else it'll start 'gulping' when you pour. (Is there no word in English for when you try to pour something and it comes out in fits and starts?)

I had this exact same problem the other day, also with a bottle of Tropicana orange juice. Eventually I got hold of a sharp craft knife (single good thing about working in a design studio) and cut all the little bits of plastic holding the cap to the other bit. Problem solved!

Crazy caps are so annoying! And the worst part, usually when it finally gets free, the juice is spilled. Gah. @_@
