I like this meme that's going 'round, especially now that people seem to be doing it without being "tagged". :P
Post a list of your top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. this isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most.
1. The Years of the Rat. HP. My Peter Pettigrew fic that took me over a year to write. I really tried to construct the Marauders' Hogwarts years (and after) from Peter's POV, and all the little incidents and personality quirks that inevitably led to his betrayal, and I think I did pretty well. Not many people are interested in reading 25000+ words about Peter Pettigrew, and that's all right, but I'm damn proud of that fic anyway.
2. The Thing About Being a Bad Guy Is. X-Men movieverse, Pyro/Magneto (mostly). Pyro on the road with Magneto and Mystique immediately following X2. I normally cringe at fics I've written after a couple of years, but I still like this one quite a bit. Parts of it still make me laugh, and I think I nailed the incredibly awkward sex scene. And the ending is rather bleak, but holds up to X3 canon perfectly, which is a nice bonus.
3. 'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves. HP, Remus/Sirius. I had a lot of fun writing this one. I have a bit of a dialogue kink, what can I say. And it isn't depressing, which almost all of my other HP fics are.
4. Auld Lang Syne. LotR RPS, ridiculously cliched ensemble orgy!fic. One of my few Lotrips fics I can still reread without wanting to die a little. I giggled all the way through writing it.
5. Quiet. HP, Remus/Sirius. Nothing showy, never got much notice, but it achieves exactly the effect I was aiming for, and I'm rarely so utterly satisfied with anything I write.
It's nifty to see which of their own fics people love the best. Everyone should be doing this meme, methinks. :)
