Weeding through the RPS list...

Am beginning to develop a fetish for unusual RPS pairings. As long as neither Dom nor Lij is involved, because then I spend the whole fic silently rooting for them to get together. But. Unusual pairings. Yes. WHY are there only 3 John Rhys-Davies fics on the Beyond the Fellowship archive? Bah. I think he'd be an interesting character.
But rooting through the lists and archive is getting a little frustrating. You can't always tell beforehand what the good fics are, and although I don't mind mediocre fics so long as they have SOME redeeming qualities, five or ten of 'em in a row gets disheartening. So. Anyone out there have any recs? I seek well-written fics with unusual pairings.
...btw, when is that bloody archive gonna be UPDATED?

lots of unusual pairings! and some of them quite good. Also, have you read "Up Shit Creek" by Lobelia yet? It's up at BtF, it's Billy/Karl, and it's very very good.

Anything at Wax's BloomWood (http://www.waxjism.net/bloomwood/) is magnificent. Calico, Cimorene, Buffett, mcee... all of the biggies. Read them all and rejoice.

As for recommendations for rare parings: I dunno. But if you want quality stories, go here. (http://www.waxjism.net/bloomwood/) It's an Orli/Lij archive (obviously) so it's not really what you're looking for, but it's the cream of the crop.
