Summer is...not my favorite season. I don't usually mind it much, and I like all the outdoorsness (minus the bugs), but god, I cannot function when the temperature gets above 90, and we hit around 96 (and humid) today. Yes, I'm sure you Florida or Texas natives are mocking me right now, but seriously, I just shut down. The living room in our apt has a sad, weak little AC unit, so I've been sprawled uselessly on the couch all day, wondering if I can stop sweating by force of will. Gah. It's supposed to thunderstorm tonight or tomorrow, thank god, so hopefully the temperature outside will become tolerable again, but for now...urg.

I can't even think when it's this hot. This is pathetic.

Me too, hate the heat. I'd hug you but it would make you sticky.

My husband asked why he was so tired after nine days vacation. I reminded him: temperature!

Seriously, nothing drains you of energy like excessive heat. Ugh.

My best advice is to take frequent cold showers. It helps surprisingly much.

Yeah, and it feels good for a bit, but then as soon as you get out you start sweating again, and there are few things quite so disheartening as feeling gross immediately after a shower.
