Yes, okay, have become obsessed with BSG, this too shall pass. Please indulge.

Have been gradually working my way through the BSG recs on crack_van, because I don't know where else to start looking for good fic, and have been fairly pleased with the results so far. But I have to ask. All this Kara/Lee is loverly, really, and I ship them as well, but does NO ONE write good Sharon/Chief fics? Where is the Cylons-who-think-they're-human love, people? Pre-series Sharon should totally be shipped like any other character, and I want some backstory for her and the Chief, dammit. (Incidentally, does anyone in this show bother using his actual name ever, or is he always Chief? I wouldn't even know he's Galen Tyrol if I hadn't checked IMDB.)

Actually, is there any Tyrol-centric fic at all? Seriously, my love for Tyrol comes a very close second to my love for any form of Sharon's, and I can't possibly be the only one out there who ships them. This is a canon pairing, even. And yet.

I have a feeling this is going to be like my fruitless search for Brian/Michael fics in the QAF US fandom: they are out there, but they're mostly ignored as a pairing, and there are mybe two halfway decent fics written about them anywhere. Damn you, HP fandom, for being so huge that even the oddest pairings have frightening numbers of fics written, and ruining me for all the other smaller one-ship (apparently) fandoms.

Yay! Another BSG nutcase! I agree, there is a serious dearth of Chief/Sharon fic. In fact, I can't think of any right now. I do understand the romantic appeal of Sharon/Helo, but Sharon/Chief seems made for fanfic, because we just don't know much about the relationship, aside from frantic!hot!sex-in-dark-corners. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] wrote a really great Kat/Chief fic, but I don't think I've bookmarked it. It should be on her LJ somewhere.

Chief gets called "Galen" a few times in season three- well, actually I can only think of one incident for sure when, during the Cylon occupation, "Deep Throat" Gaeta calls him "Galen."

Damn. I like Sharon/Helo, too, but that's a different Sharon.
