New Golden Compass trailer here. Mostly I like, although it's looking like they're gearing it towards a slightly younger audience than I'd like. I mean, yes, it's YA, but the books have a far more adult feel overall. Also, the daemons look just the slightest bit, er, cheesy, but really, that's unavoidable. Still, for the most part, nice. Is it December yet?

In other news, I'm still waiting for tonight's House ep to be available for download, but in the meantime, I've been spoiling myself thoroughly. House said WHAT?

I'm gonna be having flashbacks to the X-Files ep "Triangle" when I watch this, aren't I? Good enough for me!

And I seem to be writing a Helo/Sharon fic. Whoops. On the plus side, this may be the first time I ever turn in my Two Lines fic before deadline rather than several weeks (months?) late.

Nah, it's not canon yet. House told Cameron he loved her once, too. And it took another YEAR after Mulder told Scully he loved her before THAT became canon.

Yeah, how on earth are they going to make the next two books into kiddie movies? At least GC doesn't get really heavy until the end, but once the trilogy gets into the dark psychological and theological stuff, it stays there. Which is fantastic, but very much not kid stuff.

GC generally has a younger feel than the other two books, so maybe the movies will mature as well...
