yuletide!
I'm pretty sure I've been participating in Yuletide since its very first year, so this makes number five for me. Which is bizarre to think about, but anyway. My request...is very doable, I think, although I'll definitely need to revisit the source material. And the details my recipient provided are very plotbunny-provoking, which is nice. We shall see.
So! To whomever received me:
Hello! I'm very happy that you're going to write a wonderful story for me. :) I put real thought into writing my requests this year, so anything along those lines would of course be fantabulous. But really, if you've got a brilliant idea that doesn't match up with the details I've written, I'm totally okay with that. I'd much prefer a story that you're enthusiastic about writing and plays to your strengths as a writer than one you've forced yourself to tailor exactly to my request. In general, while angst and suchlike are fine, I really would prefer at least a somewhat happy ending. I adore banter and hijinks. I'm not so fond of excessive lovey-dovey-ness or domesticity. Porn is fun if that's your thing, but please steer away from non-con or hardcore BDSM or other kink. And, of course, PG-rated shippiness or just plain gen is always fine as well. Clearly, I like slash. I also like het. I also like gen. Pick your poison. Most importantly, I am madly in love with the canon of all of my requests, so as long as we both share that love, all will be well. ;) If you have any specific questions about any of my requests, you can comment here anonymously and I'll answer. Although I think that might technically be against the rules, but eh, whatever. And thank you, thank you, thank you for whatever sort of fic you end up writing!
