How much of a dork am I that my idea of a great Friday night is reading X-Files fanfic and dancing around like a lunatic to the Across the Universe soundtrack?
I think it sounds MARVELOUS. I was dragged out to a bar at the tail end of the evening and it was just awkward. I didn't want to be there at all.
Hey, somewhat odd question: would it be possible to borrow your laptop sometime over the weekend? I have a profusion of time-sensitive screencaps I'd like to make, and my computer continues to be incapable. I probably would only need it for an hour or so. If that's not doable, totally feel free tell me so.
You can borrow my laptop on Sunday if you need it -- especially if you don't mind working with an older and slower machine, because then I can just lend you my old one, which is better with Photoshop anyway. But I don't have any screencapping software -- what d'you need to do?
(There could also be BSG. Or other such nonsense. I'm just sayin'.)
I need to make caps of this video for Milliways. Uh. I have it on DVD, but yeah, aforementioned computer trouble, and I don't want to have to cap off YouTube.
I actually have no idea what to use for software on your non-Mac. *sheepish* I use Snap'n'Drag on my PowerBook and it's perfect. I wouldn't need Photoshop, I could just send the pictures to my computer and take care of the iconizing from there.
Can you really read and dance at the same time? You must be a superhero.
And now, an open letter to Julie Taymor, disguised as an open letter to one of her characters.
Dear Prudence,
You are a superfluous character. Your existence is irrelevant to the plot. Julie Taymor could've come up with a better way to work "Dear Prudence" into the story that wasn't so obnoxiously contrived and literal. We are all glad that you are a lesbian, but that does not justify your peripherality.
I hope you are finding Vermont quite lovely and enjoying Rita's particular abilities.

(BSG? Dude, I could be tempted!)
