Sports Night will always be my first and truest Sorkinverse love, but this West Wing thing's not bad, either. Six episodes in, I am shipping Charlie/Zoe like nobody's business.

Something tells me this is not a pairing with a multitude of fic to its name.

Not really, no. :(

For what it's worth, though, it's a pairing that is uniformly considered OTP in WW fandom. And it gets a lot of screentime in seasons one and four.

That works, too! :) I was worried that she was just a one-off character we wouldn't see much of, so that's nice to know.

JIMMY SMITS IS ON WEST WING.

EVERYONE FAILS FOR NOT TELLING ME THIS IMMEDIATELY.

West Wing is LOVE. True, true love.

You will encounter a little Sports Night repetition here and there (dialog, plot points), because Sorkin figured the audience for SN was so small, and some of his stuff was so good, that he might as well put it out there for a giant audience. That will fade after S2.

And thank goodness, no laugh track. ;)

I hope you keep posting about WW!

Heh, yeah, I've already caught several SN-esque moments. The bit where CJ finds out about Sam/Bobbi Bernstein Cuddy call girl is very "do you know what happens when you don't share"!Natalie.

They ditched the laugh track on SN eventually, thank god. Stupid network impositions.

West Wing yay!
I saw West Wing long before Sports Night, and it will always be my Sorkin love. Especially seasons two and three.

Yeah, it all depends on which you stumble across first. I was a hardcore SN fan from pretty much the first episode aired, and resisted West Wing for years because I was very, very bitter about Sorkin jumping ship and letting SN be cancelled.

We never got Sports Night here. So I've only watched it from US bought DVDs (I own the even episodes and my friend Sam owns the odd episodes, or the other way around).

The West Wing is easier for me to follow, because I understand politics and political issues, but I know nothing about how sport works in America, and nothing about American football and very little about baseball.

SN, however, does have William H Macy and Clark Gregg and Joshua Malina and Felicy Huffman. I used to have an SN icon. I'll have to get it out again.
