I'm trying to get into a writingly mood again, as I'm halfway through the next chapter of the YA fantasy and would like to finish it and move on. It unexpectedly went in an oddly spiritual direction, which I am totally willing to go with, as it's an interesting dimension to my main character. I'd always intended her to be religious/spiritual, but that aspect has just sort of...slipped to the wayside. Possibly because I'm not even remotely religious or spiritual myself, and it just doesn't occur to me to write it into her. Hmmm.
