Just watched "Bartlet For America". I realize Josh/Donna is the ship to end all ships in this fandom, and I like it well enough, but y'know, so far I really, really like both Cliff Calley and Amy Gardner, and am looking forward to watching the Donna/Cliff and Josh/Amy work themselves out.

Which, in terms of my mental health, is probably better than being a rabid Josh/Donna shipper this early in the game.

I'm also starting to get into CJ/Toby, mostly because there is a lack of Danny Concannon in this season. Also, I'm pretty sure I've already read every halfway decent CJ/Danny fic ever written, which is kind of pathetic.

Unpopular opinion: Sam is my least favorite character. I don't actively dislike him -- well, most of the time, anyway. He just doesn't do it for me at all. I'm kind of looking forward to him being replaced by Jeremy Josh Malina's character in S4, so he can stop irritating me and taking up too much screen time.

Also, I'm sorta kinda possibly writing CJ smut. Um.

Oh, yes! I just searched out episode guides, and I remember that scene. I'm not a Jed/Leo shipper at all, but I can see how one would be just from that scene alone. I loved all of them in it.

I might go some way to mitigating other parts of season five. (I'm watching season five at the moment and coming to understand it better.)

I get over Sam because I know he's the transparent Aaron Sorkin self-insert. And sometimes he really is quite wonderful, which makes up for all the flakiness and not-being-as-heavy as the rest of them.

Sam does have his moments, I'll admit it. Of course, he also has moments when I actively despise him, so it all balances out.

I've still only seen one episode with Amy, but she threw a water balloon at Josh's head! She's clearly made of win.

Um, kind of...everyone, but not really? It's CJ gen smut. That totally makes sense in my head.

I definitely enjoy the pairing, but I have to admit, knowing that CJ eventually winds up with Danny makes me absurdly gleeful. But there's a lot more CJ/Toby fic out there than CJ/Danny, and a lot of it's pretty damn good, so I'm happy to support your OTP!

Going back and re-watching the first episodes, especially, actually, season two, and I like Sam more than I remembered liking him. I didn't really remember him at all by the time we got to season seven. I love Will Bailey (Josh Malina).

C.J/Toby was my first fannish OTP, and really the pairing that got me into fic, both reading and writing. (The best fics I read now are the ones that remind me of how I felt when I read the first best C.J/Toby stories I read.)

I'm not sure if sangerin has written more than a couple of drabbles. musesfool wrote one recently. I'm sure if I've got anything bookmarked. Most of the fics I read, I read before I got to understand fandom.

Also, they may be better in my memory than they were in real life.
