Okay, I have no idea what this memorial dinner thing was about, but it's apparently the Barack Obama Comedy Hour or something, and it is AMAZING:

The Superman crack was definitely my favorite. And I was actually pretty impressed by McCain's speech too, since he was fairly good-natured and funny himself, but Obama definitely brought out the giggly fangirl in me.

Also: I saw The Road To Mecca last night with my dad! It was a fairly last-minute decision as far as buying theatre tickets goes, but I just wanted to let you know that I loved it. Even my usually-stoic father was tearing up at the end during Helen's fantastic monologue about feeling free at last. So, yes.

I still haven't seen McCain's bit, although I have heard he's rather funny. It's...just seeing him onscreen makes me grit my teeth. Urg.

Oh, good, I'm glad you both enjoyed it. Not that I had anything to do with it whatsoever, but still. Oh! No! Wait! I helped make a couple of the props. That counts, right? :)
