bulletproof. kinks.

I loved that episode. Loved it. I haven't read anyone else's reactions yet, so I don't know if I'm in the majority or minority opinion here, but this hit just about all of my storytelling kinks.
First, the new intro. UM YES PLEASE. I've always loved the theme of "all of this has happened before, all of it will happen again" -- history repeating itself and stories being rewoven and retold, over and over again: my number one favorite theme of all storytelling ever, let me show you it.
The unraveling of the history of the Cylons -- so far beyond awesome, I can't even. Oh, Sam, you finally are useful for more than your lovely pectorals.
RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU TOTALLY CALLED THE EXISTENCE OF A THIRTEENTH MODEL, LIKE, TWO SEASONS AGO. Because anytime we think there are twelve of something in this show, there ALWAYS winds up being a thirteenth. Now: do we know Daniel or not? My money is on yes. There are lots of ways to interpret his being an "artist". Hell, I'd call Kara an artist, with her flying. (ETA: okay, reading other people's reactions, I apparently missed the obvious conclusion: Kara's dad is a Daniel. Making Kara the original hybrid. Way to trump Hera, kid.)
And on a character level: the rebirth of my personal BSG OTP! I have been holding out hope for Boomer/Chief for yonks and yonks, even when Boomer was all rabidly pro-machine and Tyrol was playing Happy Families with Cally. And I refused to believe that Boomer died in the Cylon civil war. And she didn't! LOVE. Also, Chief is Chief again! Rejoice! (Okay, I know everyone else got into this fandom because of Starbuck or Adama or whatnot, and I <3 them too, but really, going back to the beginning, it's always been all about the Chief and the Sharons for me. Athena/Helo is nice too, though once again, noticeably absent from this ep.)
Kudos to soon-to-be-President Lee. I think everyone called THAT.
Okay, Ellen now fascinates me, which she never did before. And I'm once again interested in Cylon politics. This is nifty.
I think
